Driven by an investment plan worth 20 million euros over a two-year period aimed at strengthening production capacity and developing sustainability initiatives

24 June 2024 – AQUADEUS closed the 2023 financial year with a turnover of 65 million euros, a 44% increase. These strong results are supported by an ambitious investment plan quantified at 20 million euros, destined to increase production capacity at the company’s plants, as well as to develop significant initiatives focused on sustainability.

Specifically, this year will see the launch of a new multi-format production line with a speed of 30,000 bottles/hour plus another sparkling water line with a capacity to produce 25,000 units/hour at the El Robledo plant in Albacete. Furthermore, the eight-litre bottle line will be upgraded to increase capacity to 3,000 bottles/hour at the Dúrcal plant in Granada.

This year there will also be a change in the 0.5l and 1.25l sparkling water bottles, which will be fitted with the new GME 30-40 nozzle to reduce the amount of plastic used.

In terms of exports, Aquadeus primarily markets its natural mineral water in Morocco, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Cuba.

Aquadeus’ philosophy is based on quality, service and a commitment to innovation. The company is closely involved in environmental, sustainable and social development in its areas of influence.

On the environmental side, the weight of packaging materials has been reduced, improving products by making them more environmentally friendly, given that 50 percent of the plastic is recycled, and all of the packaging is 100 percent recyclable. A significant reduction in energy consumption has also been achieved.

In the social sphere, as a brand linked to sport, Aquadeus’ values include support for grassroots sport, clubs and sporting events. The company also supports cultural initiatives that help to develop its brand identity.

Thanks to its low sodium content (3.6mg/l) AQUADEUS natural mineral water is an ideal resource for keeping well hydrated, and is perfect for sportspeople. Classified as rich in bicarbonates and calcium and low in sodium, it is deemed suitable for preparing baby foods and for inclusion in low-sodium diets.

The company is part of the Grupo Fuertes, one of the most important in the agri-food sector in Europe, and also of Holding Alma, which is of French origin and is number one in Europe in terms of volume of litres of mineral water and soft drinks sold, with 41 bottling plants.
